“Patent Assistant” was presented at the VOIR (ВОИР) tech breakfast: the first Russian AI tool for end-to-end automation of patent work

On March 17, 2026, in Moscow, at the venue of the Federal Center for Support of Technological Entrepreneurship “Choose Your Own” (Федеральный центр поддержки технологического предпринимательства «Выбирай своё»), we presented the “Patent Assistant” POSINT, the first Russian AI system for end-to-end automation of patent work. Anton Krivonogov (Антон Кривоногов), founder and head of the project, gave a talk to experts and potential customers.

The VOIR Tech Breakfast (ВОИР технозавтрак) is a regular meeting of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers (Всероссийское общество изобретателей и рационализаторов) (VOIR Union, Союз ВОИР), at which authors of domestic developments present their projects to the professional community. The meeting was held in a hybrid format and brought together more than 80 participants: inventors, engineers, representatives of scientific organizations and technology companies. The organizer was the VOIR Union (Союз ВОИР).

Anton Krivonogov gave a presentation titled “Patent Assistant POSINT: automation of patent work for engineers and R&D specialists”. Participants of the tech breakfast learned:

  • how AI can transform the traditional R&D cycle,
  • how artificial intelligence can shorten the path from an idea to a patent application to 20–30 minutes,
  • why in 2026 patenting has become more accessible for small businesses and startups.

Opening the talk, the speaker outlined the context: Russia accounts for only 1% of the world’s patents, and to achieve technological parity it is necessary to double the productivity of every engineer, technologist and designer. The POSINT patent assistant is intended to become the key tool for this: a system trained on the experience of 7 years of work of a patent bureau.

During the presentation we demonstrated the key capabilities of the service:

  • developing a raw idea into a finished technical solution, with generation of drawings and diagrams,
  • automatic international patent search across all databases in the world in several languages,
  • preparation of a full package of application documents for filing with Rospatent (Роспатент),
  • conducting patent research in accordance with GOST 15.011-2024,
  • forecasting technological development based on analysis of global patent trends.

The tech breakfast participants highly appreciated the system’s functionality. Particular interest was drawn by practical case studies: selecting the optimal composition of a magnet without rare-earth elements by iterating through 100 million combinations (200 times faster than traditional methods) and developing a liquid-propellant rocket engine in two weeks without using standard computer-aided design systems.

We thank the VOIR Union and the organizers of the VOIR Tech Breakfast for the opportunity to speak at such a significant venue. Events of this format allow developers to receive live feedback from the professional community, and inventors and engineers to become acquainted with tools that are already changing the approach to patent work in Russia today.
